With summer right around the corner…..

its time to shed the layers and focus on getting those legs back in shape. After my runs, I love to add this squat jump circuit and end my workout with some additional cardio but burn the muscles to tone the glutes, quads and hips.

You can of course you can try them before your full cardio workout, but it tends to really tire my legs and my run isn’t quite as strong. But do what works best for you. try it both ways, before or after. There are times when I stop during my runds to do a set. Again try a variety of ways and stick to what works.

Im all about proper form so really try to keep your hips back in the squat. This about pushing through the heel, that will really help. Also, really be sure the knees stay about the ankles, not the toes to protect the knees. Here is a great squat video from Health.com that shows you some basic squat techniques.

Try to challenge yourself a little more each week. Start with 5 each and work your way up to 20. Baby steps. Try it out and let me know how it goes. And let me know if you have any variations you like to do!

Also, if you have any questions, or want to see any Saturday with Amie video, let me know. You can email me directly at Amie@HoffFitness. Or leave your question or suggestions in the comments below,

Enjoy!
