“Wellness is too Important to be Complicated”
STEVENSVILLE, MARYLAND Since its founding in 2011, FitKit has relentlessly pursued its goal of making wellness available to everyone. Their portable, customizable wellness kits and extensive online resources offer an innovative and effective way to encourage healthy lifestyles within the workforce, benefitting both employees and employers. Today, FitKit is thrilled to announce a new direction for the company: Simplified Wellness. Their new motto “Wellness is too important to be complicated” aligns with their objective to make it easy for everyone to create healthy habits.
As a woman-owned small business, the team at FitKit recognized the need for a simple approach to wellness to keep up with the rapidly changing business environment. Now more than ever, employees are short on time and high on stress, which often leads to little or no time devoted to their own personal health and wellness. Studies continually show that healthy employees are more engaged and productive. Building on its already successful line of branded fitness kits, FitKit has expanded its offerings to include nutrition and stress reduction kits supported by resources that will benefit any organization, providing a more lasting effect on workplace health, wellness and culture.
FitKit was founded by two sisters, Amie Hoff and Beth Wieczorek, on the principle that everyone deserves affordable tools to lead a healthy life. They combined Amie’s experience as a certified corporate wellness consultant and fitness trainer with Beth’s comprehensive corporate background and their lifelong passion for health into their innovative small business.
Their line of portable wellness kits was designed to help people consciously choose healthy habits. “We love helping people make simple, small, positive changes in their lives because we know that small changes can lead to big, impactful results,” says FitKit co-founder and CEO, Amie Hoff. FitKit has promoted wellness in partnership with numerous organizations including American Express, Aetna, Keurig, Dell, Marriott, Staples, in addition to universities, government agencies and nonprofit clients.
“We heard from our customers about their challenges of not only engaging their teams in activity and healthy eating but also giving them the right tools to decrease stress,” says Wieczorek “Our new line of wellness kits was designed with simplicity in mind and contains tools to make it easy to create positive behavior change and get started on a path to better health.”
The FitKit products and accompanying resources have been developed, tested and approved by a team of certified personal trainers, registered dietitians and wellness consultants. Each Kit was designed to simplify wellness and easily fit a busy life – at home, in the office, on the road, allowing one to Be Well Anywhere™.
The FitKit products are perfect for wellness challenge rewards, health fair giveaways, employee recognition and new hire welcome gifts. This allows organizations to encourage and reinforce a culture of health and wellness while promoting their brand.
